We serve only the freshest fish and seafood available, expertly prepared in a warm, friendly environment where everyone is treated like a welcome member of the family.
Folks love our daily specials, from wild caught Gulf Coast favorites like red snapper, ling, mahi and grouper, to seasonal specials like crawfish, soft-shell crabs and wild caught salmon. Fresh shrimp, crab, and oysters are all sourced directly from the Gulf, all expertly prepared.
They also love our carefully selected, all-natural, certified angus beef filets and ribeye steaks, fire grilled and cooked to order over oak and hickory.
Eugene’s is easy to get to. We’re in the River Oaks area, a few blocks south of West Grey, just east of Shepherd.

EUGENE'S: OUR STORY
Like many of his good friends born and raised in Houston, Kyle Teas grew up knowing that Texas Gulf Coast cuisine was the most delicious, wild caught seafood in the world.
Encouraged by both friends and family, Kyle’s dream to open a restaurant that served the finest authentic Gulf Coast dishes, became a reality, and Danton’s Gulf Coast Seafood Kitchen was born. Danton’s was a big hit with customers and critics alike. The Houston Pressnamed it Houston’s ‘Best Seafood Restaurant’, ‘Best Cajun Food Restaurant’, as well as Houston’s ‘Best Oysters’.
Kyle thought it was a good start. Last year, when a new, larger, neighborhood location became available, Kyle and his family knew this opportunity was too good to pass up.
With that move, Eugene’s Gulf Coast Cuisine became Houston’s next big, wonderful thing. Eugene’s is affectionately named in honor of Kyle’s father, Eugene Teas, the man who inspired it all.
Today, Eugene’s Gulf Coast Cuisine continues to build on that simple promise, serving only the freshest seafood and only the finest certified all-natural Angus beef, with the same great service and friendly atmosphere that made Danton’s so popular.
